How do LED presets and per game presets work?
A preset is a saved copy of everything on a device's page: its theme, its effects, its per button colours and its behaviour settings. Every LED page has a CURRENT PRESET label and a Change Preset control at the top.
Presets are stored per device and per game. When a session starts, the plugin loads the preset that matches the game you are in. If you have not made one for that game, it falls back to your Any game preset, so you are never left with nothing.
That fallback is the single most common reason an edit appears to have been ignored. If you changed a colour on Any game but you also have a preset saved for the game you are testing in, the game preset is the one on your device.
Per game switching is turned on in Daniel Newman Racing > Settings > General. Switching it off in all Universal Presets disables the feature completely, and every device then uses one preset for everything.
You can mark a preset as a favourite so it is the one chosen when several match, and you can bind hotkeys for Next Preset and Previous Preset on each device's Hotkeys tab so you can change preset without leaving the car.
