What do the pit lane LED effects show?
There are four separate pit effects, and they are worth knowing apart because they answer different questions.
- Pit Lane Indicator. A flashing yellow animation that simply tells you that you are in the pit lane.
- Pit Lane Alerts. A flashing red animation when you are in the pit lane and your limiter is not active, and a flashing green animation once you have crossed the pit exit line and the limiter is still on, meaning it is time to turn it off.
- Pit Lane Speeding. A flashing red animation on the RPM lights when you are over the pit limit with the limiter off.
- Speed/Pit Limiter. The master switch for all limiter behaviour on that device, covering limiter status, speed warnings, activation and deactivation signals and the limiter animation itself. On button boxes this is the traditional blue and white limiter animation.
Each is enabled per device on that page's Effects tab, so you can have the full set on a DDU and only the limiter on your wheel buttons.
Flag boxes add an iRacing only pit box countdown in seconds as you approach your stall, which requires the third party RomainRob SimHub plugin.
